Cosplay Update. (Blizzcon)

:star: Blizzcon (August 21-22)
Premiering:
- Night Elf Priest, Sanctification Regalia (T8.5) with Val'anyr and Ironmender, from World of Warcraft

Schedule:
Friday: Blood Elf Priest (until about 1pm); Sanctification
Saturday: Myself :D

Sanctification is about 55% complete as of this post, including weapon progress. I will update with a finished picture briefly before Blizzcon (late August). Sadly, I won't be posting any real progress shots in-between because, frankly, I don't want anyone to have time to copy my ideas. I know how harsh that sounds, but that's what happened before with Avatar, and I'd rather not have it happen again with another costume I plan to compete with. Although I am simply interpreting tier set designs, others tend to look to me to see how I created something functional from a seemingly impossible design. It's flattering, but I honestly want to keep my original ideas and modifications unique--at least through the end of the costume contest. After that, feel free to go nuts and take whatever you like from my designs--as long as you give me credit as a source.

For Blizzcon, I will be sporting the BE Priest costume for the first half of Friday. I will change into Sanctification a few hours before the costume contest, and am hoping to make it back to the convention center about two hours before the contest begins.

I am taking Saturday off from cosplay :D I want to experience the real Blizzcon instead of being a fixture in it xD Also, I have some people to chill with who are coming from far and wide just for the con, and want to spend some time with them (which I can't do while posing).

More little updates to come, both on blog and in gallery.

Ridiculous Lifestyle.

Everything has been borderline ridiculous for the last few months.

I've spent several hundred dollars on various costumes to help me cope with single life, been traveling all over the place in search of awesome things to do, and have been spending quality time with quality people.

Oh, and I've been planning Blizzcon stuff with everyone involved.

Firstly, I have a ticket to Blizzcon.

Secondly, I have not one, not two, but THREE new World of Warcraft costumes for the year. Also, one very intimidating Diablo 2 costume. Baiken from Guilty Gear is my other costume, and will naturally be worn at Anime Expo--not Blizzcon.

Thirdly, I have a short story and illustration being published by my college this month :)

Fourthly, I'm entering finals and have a ton of catching up to do before then.

Fifthly, my guild has General Vezax down and started attempting Yogg-Saron last week, making me pretty much dedicated to play WoW for the next however long.

No wonder why it's been impossible to sleep lately.

I keep promising these new pictures, but in honesty, I can't find someone to TAKE the ruddy things. I think I'll break down and appeal to family in June.

I'll be entering something in the costume contest after all.

Please see the preview of things to come in my gallery: Sanctification Regalia.

I'm finishing up a costume!

It should be done by the time the wig is delivered. I may be able to set up some pictures very soon. This costume is warmer than the Battleforge set, so weather shouldn't be too much of an issue.

(No gusty winds, plox.)

I've been eaten by a grue!

And by that I mean I'm reading the last two books of the Twilight saga. I read the first two before watching the movie, and I have a copy of the movie now as well.

This can't be healthy.

I hope the rest of the movies stay more true to the books with the new director on deck.
